After the attack subsided and the Libyan guards finally evacuated the compound, the diplomatic mission was looted and vandalized. According to the State Department, the hospital picked a cell phone out of his pocket, and they believe the just started calling numbers that were on the cell phone that had received calls, and that is how we got the information that he was there.[1.
