Anderson Cooper interview

Seacrest interviews Cooper during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his eating habits.

I basically eat the same four or five meals in my daily life for the past 20 years or so. I just don’t care about variety. If I can drink a shake for every meal that would be more then fine with me. I’ve been eating Boston Market chicken everyday for like four and a half months now. Also I’m going back to scrambled egg whites.

Anderson Cooper interview

Interview0 Comments

Seacrest interviews Cooper during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his interview with Donald Sterling.

He says this is not who he is. He says he’s taken responsibility for it. A few sentences later, he’s also pointing the finger at this woman, V. Stiviano, saying he was kind of goaded into making these comments that he hasn’t said anything like this in the past. There a lot of people obviously who will disagree with him.

AC 360 interview

Brown’s parents, McSpadden and Brown Sr. speak with Cooper about the tragic shooting death of their son. They confirm their confidence with the Ferguson justice system, voice their opinions on a grand jury decision and involving the Federal government. McSpadden:

Even if this hadn’t happened people ridicule each other anyway, but he was a teenager, he was growing up, he was only 18. He had a chance to make a mistake and correct it just like the officer, he had a choice and the officer chose the wrong one. Was it really necessary…No. My son was only 18, only 18.

When you are a woman in this business, you have to hold on until your knuckles are white and they chop your fingers off. Then you hold on by your wrist, then you hold on by your elbows and you never let go.

Several news anchors meet with Wilson. All of the meetings are off the record and the anchors do most of the speaking. Lemon:

My meeting with Wilson was not out of the ordinary and that we’ve interviewed the Brown family, Dorian Johnson and all witnesses. Of course we’d want to interview Wilson.

‘One of the best’

Tribute0 Comments

Cooper pays tribute to Simon on CNN.

Bob was for the last five decades, one of the best, in my opinion–the best–in the world in getting a story, telling a story, writing a story, and making it unforgettable. He was a warrior poet who loved life and loved people. He wasn’t somebody who just wrote a story and let other people edit it.

Holds gun policy town hall

Press Conference0 Comments

Obama speaks with gun owners at a televised town hall meeting hosted by CNN. The president explained his measures to make legal products safer, akin to child-proof medicine caps, and sought to reassure gun owners that no one was coming for their property. The NRA chose not to participate. The American Firearms Retailers Association was involved with the meeting. On gun registration:

That’s an area where there’s just not enough national consensus at this stage to even consider it. And part of it is is people’s concern that that becomes a prelude to taking people’s guns away…Part of the challenge of this is that the gun debate gets wrapped up in broader debates about whether the federal government is oppressive and there are conspiracy theories floating around the Internet these days all the time.

Pope ‘has awfully big wall’

Interview0 Comments

In an interview with CNN’s Cooper, Trump says the Pope’s comments were probably overblown by the media.

I didn’t think it was a good thing for him to say, frankly. I don’t like fighting with the Pope. I don’t think this is a fight…I think it was probably a little bit nicer statement than was reported by you folks in the media. Because after I read it, it was a little bit softer…I think that he heard one side of the story, which is probably by the Mexican government…But the bottom line is we’ve got to have a border, we’ve got to have security. We have tremendous illegal immigration in the country. He also talked about [how] having a wall is not Christian. And he’s got an awfully big wall at the Vatican, I will tell you.
