Garner dies at the age of 86. Police find him at his home around 8:00 PM. No specific cause of death has been determined.
Return to duty
Bergdahl will return to duty possibly as soon as today. He will be assigned a desk job at Fort Sam Houston in a unit responsible for homeland defense, civil support operations and security operation programs.

A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Japan early Saturday morning. The quake was centered off of Honshu island and was 7 miles deep. A tsunami warning was issued but later changed to an advisory.

Dave Legeno dies at 50
Legeno dies after a desert hiking incident. Legano’s body is discovered by hikers and removed from the scene by helicopter. The Sheriff’s Department reads:
The remains have been identified as David Legeno, a 50-year-old United Kingdom man. It appears that Legeno died of heat related issues, but the Inyo County Coroner will determine the final cause of death. There are no signs of foul play.
Calls for impeachment
Palin calls for the impeachment of President Obama for inaction over the immigration crisis, claiming he is intentionally allowing immigrants in the United States.

NY legalizes Medical marijuana
Cuomo signs the Compassionate Care Act today in New York City. The bill will allow doctors to prescribe nonsmokable forms of marijuana to patients with serious ailments.
We are here to help people. And if there is a medical advancement, then we want to make sure that we’re bringing it to New Yorkers.
The program is expected to be one of the most regulated medical marijuana programs in the country. Criminal charges will be filed against anyone trying to defraud the system. The governor says he can suspend the program if there is a rick to public health. New York is the 23rd state to allow medical marijuana.
Devices must be charged
The TSA will no longer allow electronic devices such as cellphones, tablets and laptops on some US bound flights if the devices are not charged. Smartphones from Apple and Samsung are singled out for extra checks. The new security measure has been put in place because of concerns that Yemen based al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and the Islamic Nursa Front are plotting to blow up an aircraft. As a result of the new security measure, Airplane passengers may be asked to turn on their electronic devices when going through security. Devices with no power will not be allowed on the plane.
