Government claims most girls freed
Major General Chris Olukolade of Nigeria claims that the military has freed most of the more than 100 girls kidnapped from a Chibok government secondary school by Boko Haram militants. Only eight are still missing. The general also reports one terrorist has been captured. A spokesman for President Goodluck Jonathan says he has been informed that some of the kidnapped girls have been freed but cannot specify the number. President Jonathan calls a meeting of his security council tomorrow to review the country’s security situation.
