Beefcake is a guest on Piper’s Pit to discuss friends in the wrestling business and real fights in the ring.
You’d go in the ring and the first 30 seconds or something would be a shoot (real fight) and the winner would get a ten dollar bonus. You’d get ten extra dollars if you went over on the other guy.
King of the Ring 1988
DiBiase defeats Randy Savage, Ken Patera and Brutus Beefcake to claim the crown at King of the Ring 1988.
I identified with Randy a lot. We both had a lot in common, in that we were both buys who grew up in this industry whose fathers were wrestlers. I’ve always believed that for kids who that grew up in the industry that it’s not just a job, but it’s something they fell in love with and something they’ve known all their lives. There’s a certain camaraderie there. In a word, Randy was charismatic.
Wrestlemania 4
Wrestlemania 4 is held at The Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event features a 14 man tournament for the vacated WWE championship (won by Randy Savage) and Brutus Beefcake vs Honky Tonk Man.
