Alex Kozinski is an American federal court judge. He was born in 1950 in Bucharest, Romania. His parents, who were survivors of the Holocaust, moved to the United States in 1962. In November 2007, he was appointed Chief Judge of the United States Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Kozinski is also known for his judicial commentary and essays.
