Buster Mathis Jr.
Buster Mathis, Jr. is a former American professional heavyweight boxer born in 1970 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the son of former heavyweight boxer Buster Mathis. He turned professional in 1991 and won his first 12 fights. In 1994, he defeated Tyrell Biggs for the USBA Heavyweight Title. Mathis Jr. lost to Mike Tyson by knockout in three rounds. The fight was Tyson’s second since being released from prison. At the age of 26, Mathis Jr. retired from boxing with a record of 21 wins and two losses.
