Diane Sawyer is an American news anchor born in 1945 in Glasgow, Kentucky. Sawyer is the anchor for ABC World News. She was also a co-anchor of Good Morning American and Primetime. During United States President Richard Nixon’s administration, she was part of his staff. In 1997, she was elected to the Television Hall of Fame. Sawyer is married to television writer Mike Nichols. Nichols has three children from previous marriages.
