Elton John
Elton John is an English singer and songwriter born in 1947 in Pinner, Middlesex, England. Throughout his career, John has had over fifty Top 40 hits which includes seven straight number one albums. He has also sold over 300 million records worldwide. His most popular songs include Your Song, Rocketman, I’m Still Standing, Candle in the Wind, and Something About the Way You Look Tonight. He has won six Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards, a Tony Award, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award in his career. In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. John came out as gay in 1988 and is in a civil partnership with David Furnish.
