JB Smoove is an American actor and comedian born in 1964 in Plymouth, North Carolina. He initially gained fame for his stand-up comedy routines on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam. Smoove is also popular for his role as Leon on the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Other shows he has been featured in include Law & Order, Saturday Night Live, The Wanda Sykes Show, Ed, Everybody Hates Chris, The Millers, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. Smoove is married to Shahidah Omar.
