Paul McCartney
Sir James Paul McCartney, born in Liverpool, England in 1942, is a world-renowned singer, songwriter, performer, and composer. He gained global fame as a member of the Beatles, and after the band broke up continued his musical career by founding Wings with Denny Laine and his first wife Linda McCartney. McCartney has 60 gold discs, and has sold over 100 million albums and 100 singles over the course of his work with the Beatles and as a solo artist. He is active in promoting and supporting non-profit organizations advocating animal rights, vegetarianism, war on poverty, dismantling landmines, and music education. McCartney has married three times and has five children.
