Accepts plea deal

Short accepts a plea deal in his domestic violence case when Judge Christine Ewell sets his bail amount at 500,000 after he misses his original court date. Short is sentenced to three years probation and 30 days of community service. Short’s explanation for missing original court date:

I apologize sincerely for missing court. I literally went to Barbados for an HIV charity. I was between a rock and a hard place: the rock being court and the hard place being Barbados and 2,000 kids waiting for me to get there.
