Duggar and Dillard welcome their first child, Israel David, two weeks past his due date and in a hospital. He weighs 9 lbs., 10 oz.
Expecting child
The Duggars announce that they are expecting a baby. After taking several pregnancy tests that came back negative, Jill is persuaded by her sisters to take one of her mom, Michelle’s, tests while she and Derick were visiting her home. This test gave her a different result. Derick:
It was surreal. We were shocked. Both of us are so excited.
Dillard pregnant
The Dillard’s announce they are expecting their first baby in March 2015. Derick:

Duggar, Dillard marry
Duggar marries Dillard at the Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas. Their bridal party is also a huge family affair, including five bridesmaids, five ushers, two groomsmen, two ring bearers and multiple flower girls. Over 1,000 guests watch the couple exchange their vows. Duggar’s mother says:
She got on her princess dress finally. She has been begging to put it on since she got it. That is the most awesome princess dress ever.

Duggar and Dillard announce their engagement. Jill:
I am so happy. Our story is so very unique. The first time we talked, he was in Japan, we met in Nepal, he spent time in India and Israel and then came back to Arkansas where he met my family. We have a very international story even though we live so close.
