Obama ‘tired of talking about Trump’

Makes Statement0 Comments

At a $10,000-a-head fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on Martha’s Vineyard, President Obama says he is tired of talking about Trump.

You notice I haven’t said much about her opponent. Frankly, I’m tired of talking about her opponent. I don’t have to make the case against her opponent because every time he talks he makes the case against his own candidacy…This has been an unpredictable election season. Not only because of anxieties and concerns that the American people have, but also because of the changing nature of the media and voting patterns. There’s still a lot of uncertainty out there. And if we are not running scared until the day after the election, we are going to be making a grave mistake.

Protester grabs leg

Gives Talk0 Comments

At a rally in Vandalia, OH, a protester grabs Trump’s leg, resulting in several Secret Service members rushing the stage.

Thank you for the warning. I was ready for ‘em, but it’s much better if the cops do it, don’t we agree?

Chicago was ‘planned attack,’ blames Sanders

Gives Talk0 Comments

At a rally in Vandalia, OH, Trump says that the protests in Chicago were a “planned attack”.

All of a sudden a planned attack, just came out of nowhere. It was printed by people who were professional protestors. A disgrace if you want to know the truth…The people that came there, that were invited there, thousands and thousands of people. They caused no problem. They were taunted, they were harassed. These other people…by the way, some represented Bernie, our communist friend. Now really, Bernie should tell his people…There weren’t too many Hillary people there. You know why? In all fairness to Bernie, the reason there weren’t any Hillary people is they have no fervour  Say what you want about Bernie, but at least they have a little bit of fervour. So he should really get up and say to his people to “stop, stop”. Not me, they said “Mr Trump should get up this morning and tell his people to be nice”. My people are nice. My people are great.

Endorses Trump

Political Endorsement0 Comments

During a joint appearance at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club resort Palm Beach, Florida, Carson formally endorses the GOP frontrunner.

We buried the hatchet. That was political stuff…I have found in talking with him, that there’s a lot more alignment, philosophically and spiritually, than I ever thought that there was.

Trump says Carson has not asked for any formal role, and praises his former rival’s ideas on education.

Ben’s going to have a big, big part.

Carson to endorse Trump

Political Endorsement0 Comments

Carson says he will endorse Trump on Fri 11 March. In an interview with Fox Radio:

Well, you know there are two Donald Trumps. There’s the Donald Trump that you see on television and who gets out in front of big audiences, and there’s the Donald Trump behind the scenes. They’re not the same person. One’s very much an entertainer, and one is actually a thinking individual.

Endorses Trump

Political Endorsement0 Comments

In an interview with Breitbart News, Voight says he endorses Trump for president.

I, Jon Voight, can say, without hesitation, that Donald is funny, playful, and colorful, but most of all, he is honest. When he decided to run for president, I know he did it with a true conviction to bring this country back to prosperity. He is the only one who can do it. No frills, no fuss, only candid truths. There are many Republicans fighting to keep him from winning the Republican nomination. You know why? Because he has no bull to sell, and everyone will discover the bull most politicians spew out is for their own causes and benefits. They never dreamed they would be losing control.

I am very disappointed at the talk show hosts, also spewing out lies and propaganda against Donald. Why, I wonder? The only thing I can think of is he represents a form of freedom none of them ever saw before, and they are bewildered about it, and frightened about it. I pray all Americans who have seen and felt the meltdown of America with the Obama years, to please fight for Donald Trump. He will not let us down. I pray for all good people to see clearly what faces us now. The right vote will save our nation.

Romney was ‘begging for my endorsement’

Makes Statement0 Comments

Trump responds to Romney’s speech at an event in Portland, Maine.

That was a race that should have been won…Mitt is a failed candidate…He failed horribly…You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement… I could have said Mitt, drop to your knees, he would have dropped to his knees…Mitt is indeed a choke artist. He choked like I’ve never seen anyone choke. Other than Rubio.

Trump Destroys Romney In Less Than 30 Seconds

Says GOP should not nominate Trump

Gives Talk0 Comments

Speaking at the Hinckley Institute at the University of Utah, Romney calls Trump “phony” and a “fraud” whose “third-grade theatrics” threaten the future of the Republican party.

I’m not here to announce my candidacy for office, and I’m not here to endorse a candidate today. I believe with all my heart and soul that we face another time for choosing, one that will have profound consequences for the Republican Party. [If we nominate Trump] the prospect for a safe and prosperous future are greatly diminished. [If he is elected] the country would sink into prolonged recession…Whatever happened to Trump Airlines? How about Trump University? And then there’s Trump Magazine, and Trump Vodka, and Trump Steaks! Successfully bringing jobs home requires serious policies and reforms… you can’t punish business into doing what you want.

Wins AL, AK, GA, MA, TN, VT, VA primaries

Wins Election0 Comments

Trump wins the Republican “Super Tuesday” primaries in Alabama (43%), Arkansas (33%), Georgia (39%), Massachusetts (49%), Tennessee, (39%), Vermont (33%), and Virginia (35%). Ted Cruz wins Alaska (36%, Trump 34%), Oklahoma (34%, Trump 28%), and Texas (44%, Trump 27%). Marco Rubio wins Minnesota (37%, Trump 21%). Speaking in Palm Beach, Florida, where his is flanked by Chris Christie, Trump congratulates Cruz and comments on Hillary Clinton’s wins.

The Democrats … they don’t have any energy. Their numbers are down. Our numbers are through the roof…I think if somebody is doing as well as I’m doing … I think it’s awfully hard to say that’s not the person we want to lead the party, right?..I don’t know that [Hillary’s] going to be allowed to run…We either have a country or we don’t. We have borders or we don’t have borders.

Vatican: not personal attack

Makes Statement0 Comments

A Vatican spokesperson tells Vatican Radio that Pope Francis’ suggestion that Trump was ‘not Christian’ because of his views on immigration was not a personal attack on the candidate, and that the comments were simply an affirmation of Francis’ longstanding belief that migrants should be helped and welcomed rather than shut off behind walls.

This wasn’t in any way a personal attack, nor an indication of who to vote for. The Pope has clearly said he didn’t want to get involved in the electoral campaign in the US, and also said that he said what he said on the basis of what he was told [about Trump], hence giving him the benefit of the doubt. The Pope said what we already know, if we followed his teaching and positions: We shouldn’t build walls, but bridges.’ He has always said that, continuously. He also said that in relation to migration in Europe many times. So this is not a specific issue, limited to this particular case. It’s his generic view, coherent with the nature of solidarity from the Gospel.

Pope ‘has awfully big wall’

Interview0 Comments

In an interview with CNN’s Cooper, Trump says the Pope’s comments were probably overblown by the media.

I didn’t think it was a good thing for him to say, frankly. I don’t like fighting with the Pope. I don’t think this is a fight…I think it was probably a little bit nicer statement than was reported by you folks in the media. Because after I read it, it was a little bit softer…I think that he heard one side of the story, which is probably by the Mexican government…But the bottom line is we’ve got to have a border, we’ve got to have security. We have tremendous illegal immigration in the country. He also talked about [how] having a wall is not Christian. And he’s got an awfully big wall at the Vatican, I will tell you.

Responds to Pope: ‘Disgraceful’

Press Conference0 Comments

Trump responds to the Pope’s comments.

If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians.

The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them. The Pope only heard one side of the story – he didn’t see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn’t see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation.

For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant.

Pope says Trump ‘Not Christian’

Makes Statement0 Comments

At the end of his six-day visit to Mexico, Pope Francis is asked about Trump’s plan to build a border wall with Mexico.

A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel…I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that. We must see if he said things in that way and I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Obama has done ‘a lousy job’

Interview0 Comments

In Beaufort, SC, Trump responds to President Obama’s comments saying he will never be president.

He has done such a lousy job as president. You look at our budgets. You look at our spending. We can’t beat ISIS. Obamacare is terrible. We’re going to terminate it. We’re going to absolutely terminate and replace it. I mean you look at everything. Our borders are like Swiss cheese….You’re lucky I didn’t run last time when Romney ran because you would have been a one-term president.

Believes Trump will not be president

Makes Statement0 Comments

At a press conference during a summit with Southeast Asian leaders in California, President Obama says that he believes Trump will not be president.

I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president. And the reason is that I have a lot of faith in the American people. Being president is a serious job. It’s not hosting a talk show, or a reality show…The presidency isn’t “a matter of pandering and doing whatever will get you in the news on a given day. And sometimes, it requires you making hard decisions even when people don’t like it…Whoever’s standing where I’m standing right now has the nuclear codes with them, and can order 21-year-olds into a firefight, and (has) to make sure that the banking system doesn’t collapse, and is often responsible for not just the United States of America, but 20 other countries that are having big problems, or are falling apart and are gonna be looking for us to something…The American people are pretty sensible, and I think they’ll make a sensible choice in the end.

‘A massive setback for the Conservative movement’

Tribute0 Comments

Trump pays tribute to Scalia:

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to the Scalia family after the passing of Justice Scalia. Justice Scalia was a remarkable person and a brilliant Supreme Court Justice, one of the best of all time. His career was defined by his reverence for the Constitution and his legacy of protecting Americans’ most cherished freedoms. He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench and he is a person whom I held in the highest regard and will always greatly respect his intelligence and conviction to uphold the Constitution of our country. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
