Emma Watson born in Paris

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is born in Paris to parents Jacqueline and Chris Watson, both of whom are lawyers. After her parents divorce when she is 5, she and her brother, Alex, moved to Oxford to live her their mother. From the age of 6, Emma knew she wanted to become an actress and trained for a number of years at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theater Arts where she studied singing, dancing, and acting.  She wins 1st prize in a school poetry recital, The Daisy Pratt poetry competition, when she was 7.

My parents have a very academic mind, they see my actress career as a normal profession, and that has helped me, they are very normal and balanced people, they work hard, I inherited from them the work ethic.
