I identified with Randy a lot. We both had a lot in common, in that we were both buys who grew up in this industry whose fathers were wrestlers. I’ve always believed that for kids who that grew up in the industry that it’s not just a job, but it’s something they fell in love with and something they’ve known all their lives. I had to think long and hard about it. It was hard because red, white and blue runs through my veins. There were a lot of situations where I had to forgive myself and I hoped everyone would forgive me.

You got someone who’s got 400 pounds who can do a moonsault off the top rope, we’re talking about an offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams. I used to love to work with him. It was pretty insane, but I was the one who tamed him.
