Men’s division winner
Desisa wins the men’s division in 2 hours 9 minutes 17 seconds. He throws off his hat and waves to spectators as he sprints to the finish. Desisa also won the 2013 marathon but gave his medal to the city of Boston in light of the bombings that year.
This medal is mine to keep . . . I started waving my hands because I love the Boston people.
Wins Monte Carlo Masters
Djokovic beats Berdych 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 to win the Monte Carlo Masters.
It was a tough match…Tomas played a great match and deserves this trophy as much as I do. It was a good final, but bad luck today.
Wins Masters
Spieth becomes the youngest Masters winner since Tiger Woods following a record-breaking performance. Speith, who is now the world number two golfer after Rory McIlroy, is awarded the coveted green jacket after achieving 18-under par with a final score of 70 – the same score that gave Woods his first green-jacket 18 years ago – and setting new standards for the 36 and 54 holes.
Wins diving title
Boudia and Johnson win the men’s synchronized ten meter national title at the inaugural USA Diving Synchronized National Championships. At the meet, Boudia and Johnson earn 950.46 points with a inward dive pike, reverse three and a half tuck, and an inward three and a half tuck.
It is a really fun atmosphere to be in with all these people who love the sport. This is a good start to the season for me and Steele…I think we’re in a great position.
Celtics 116-104 Hornets

Wins MVP; leads team to third title
Marbury is named the finals MVP after leading the Ducks to their second straight CBA championship–their third title overall since Marbury joined the team four years ago. During the finals, Marbury averaged 29.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and two steals.
This year, a lot of people criticized me, saying I was old, that I couldn’t play anymore. But I turned all that into fuel…When we won the first championship, people said we couldn’t get another. After the second, people said you guys can’t repeat. Establishing a dynasty has always been my goal and my motivation.

Dominates Brewers
Zito helps the A’s beat the Brewers 5-2. The pitcher allows one hit, throws four scoreless innings for the team.
I felt great, just throwing strikes, attacking the zone.
On his chances of entering the team based on other players’ injuries:

Retains title
Rousey retains her bantamweight title after defeating Cat Zingano by armbar submission in fourteen seconds at UFC 148.
I was thinking that Cat might try and come and jump in on me right away because so many people were telling her that she was a slow starter and I’ve seen her try to do flying knees in the beginning. Because no one’s ever charged me before so they might think that might work. And the armbar, where it was behind the arm, I was practicing that completely facing a different direction but I’m glad I could adapt in a really weird scramble like that.
11th career triple-double

For every kid that gets diagnosed with diabetes, or anything that says you can’t do something, just go out there and overcome it and do it.

I said I would fight anyone and everyone to make things for my family better and that’s exactly what I did. Who I beat or how I beat them is irrelevant.
Wins NXT Women’s Championship
Banks pins Charlotte in a Fatal 4-Way match, which also features Bayley and Becky Lynch, at NXT TakeOver: Rival to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. This is Banks’ first Championship under the WWE umbrella.

Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX

I couldn’t be prouder of this team. These guys have been counted out many times through the course of the year by a lot of people but they always believed in themselves and just kept fighting. Reigns wins 2015 Royal Rumble
Reigns wins the 2015 WWE 30-Man Royal Rumble match with help from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, earning himself a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania. After the match, Reigns speaks about preparing to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
