‘His behaviour was like that of a predator’

Makes Statement0 Comments

During a press conference in Los Angeles, led by attorney Gloria Allred, Hayes says Cosby exhibited behavior ‘like that of a predator’ when she met Cosby at Clint Eastwood’s Celebrity Tennis Tournament in Pebble Beach, California in 1973. Hayes claims Cosby stalked her and her two friends, eventually grabbing Hayes’ breast.

Bill found us again on Saturday night even though we had changed restaurants several times to avoid him. At first, we thought it was all right because it was day time, and because it was Bill Cosby. We felt we were safe. But then when he found us in the last restaurant, he approached me from behind and reached over my shoulder and grabbed my right breast. I was stunned, and angry, because he had no right to do that. And I didn’t know why he would behave that way. His behavior was like that of a predator.

Asks Cosby to face his accusers

Attorney Allred asks that Cosby either waive the statute of limitations on sexual assault allegations and stand trial or set aside 100 million in a fund for his alleged victims, during a press conference in Los Angeles. Allred is joined by three of Cosby’s accusers at the press conference, Beth Ferrier, Helen Hayes, and Chelan.

It could be advantageous for Mr. Cosby to give up the statute of limitations because there is a huge cloud on his reputation and legacy. Many of those alleged victims contacted me to determine if they had any legal rights that they could assert against Mr. Cosby. Unfortunately, with a rare exception, I had to inform these women that it was too late for them to file a lawsuit against Mr. Cosby because of the statute of limitations. If Mr. Cosby believes all the women are being untruthful, then this is his opportunity to prove it. What could be fairer than that?
