Addresses LULAC in NYC
Obama addresses the League of United Latin American Citizens, the oldest Hispanic organization in the United States, at the LULAC Convention in New York City. Jennifer Lopez was in the building at the time introducing Los Jets, a reality show that she is involved in. The group asked Lopez to stop in for a quick appearance with the First Lady, and she agreed to do so. The two embraced on stage and took time to take a “selfie.”

Elle UK Cover
Lopez is featured on the cover of Elle UK with an interview inside the issue. During the interview Lopez is questioned about her love life, career and recent divorce.
Everybody has seen that I make mistakes. Every single album I have ever made is about love,” Lopez told Elle UK. “But I am not going to give up. I have to look at what I do wrong. I rush in, I get swept up, I ignore the signs. But so many of us are guilty of these things. Each time it goes wrong it’s hard. I get really hurt but I have to let myself go: ‘What did I do? What can I learn?’ And as hard and as hurtful as things get, I want to believe I will be able to go one step higher. I’ve got to hope that if I keep going I will eventually get it right.
Los Jets
Los Jets will premier on July 16, 2014 on NuvoTv. Lopes is the executive producer of this six-part documentary about a group of outcasts that come together as a soccer team. The series was filmed in the fall of 2013.
Staying fit is a ‘job’
Lopez tells US magazine she recently went on exercise psychologist Marco Borges’ vegan plan, which calls for 22 days of plant-based eating. The performer eliminated dairy, meat and gluten from her diet in an effort to reach her goal weight by losing a stubborn 8 to 10 pounds. Lopez says she quickly dropped from a size 4 to a size 2. Lopez trains with celebrity fitness trainer, Tracy Anderson. Her sessions last about one hour each, with 30 minutes devoted to the glutes:

The turning point was a couple years ago, when the September issue of women’s magazines had cover girls that were all over 40 – Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, me. It was hard not to be happy. That says something about our society. People who used to believe their life – or at least their life as a performer – was over at 28 or some ungodly age! God, when I think of myself back then, I had no idea who I was. I think I’m barely getting that under control now.

In a lot of ways, I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t had that experience.
