Jennifer Lopez interview
Seacrest interviews Lopez during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks her what she hopes her boyfriends Valentines Day plans are.
I just like something that has some thought put into it. I don’t need like big gifts. I want to feel like you put some time into it and you really thought about it I always say it takes more time to go out and pick a card than it does to buy a quick present.
Jennifer Lopez interview
Seacrest interviews Lopez during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her single Same Girl.
This was just something I was doing for the fans, it’s not a first single or anything like that. I was back in New York and I always had this idea I’m wrapping up my album right now, we’re almost finished and over Christmas I was like, ‘I’m going to relax. I’m not going to do anything. I’m just going to chill.’ But I always had this idea to go back with this one specific song called “Same Girl” and to go back to the Bronx, to my old neighborhood, walk around and kind of like film what happens the song is about getting back to your roots and remembering where you’re from.
Cosmopolitan cover
Lopez appears on the cover of the October 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. She talks about her relationship, the birthday party of the president of Turkmenistan, and not feeling secure about herself until later in life.
It was after I had kids to be honest…The biggest insecurity I had was my singing. Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, I’m not good at this. And while I was married to Marc, he helped me get over it. He kept telling me, ‘You’re the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go’…I was always so insecure and just kind of going along. Then I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I’m not a mistake – I work my ass off. And I know what I’m doing.

Lopez is dating Smart who is 18 years younger than her. The couple started dating two years after her divorce from Anthony.
I just got out of a big, heavy, devastating thing, and he’s helped me heal. He’s been there for me.
On their age difference:
I ask him, ‘Why don’t you go find a young girlfriend and get out of here? What do you want with me?’ And you think, ‘How long is this gonna be?’ You think, ‘Okay, in 10 years I’m going to be like this and you’re going to be like that’ and … men at that age are … I think all different things. The truth is we don’t know what’s going to happen. We’re loving this moment right now. We make each other happy.

As much as I love Jessica, and knew her voice is so outstanding I kind of felt like Phillip was going to win. I just felt like he connected with the audience in a way, like when he would come out, and the way they would scream, certain things, you just feel like that’s your ‘Idol.

Lopez appears on the cover of the April 2012 issue of Vogue magazine. She talks about starting out being insecure, her ex giving her confidence, and parenting.
They do something to you where you want to do everything right for them…And obviously no parent does everything right. It’s this weird thing that happens where you are striving to be as good as you can be so that they turn out well. And that requires that you be a really great, evolved, aware person in every moment. Which is pretty awesome. But it’s also putting tremendous pressure on yourself—which is why women feel so guilty!
Jennifer Lopez interview
Seacrest interviews Lopez during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her single Dance Again.
First of all I love it. I love being able to collaborate with the producer RedOne again, and working with Pitbull again. We had a great chemistry the last time, and it was like ‘We’re going to have to do something again.’ And this was the perfect song. I love the message of the song. That when something bad happens, your life is not over. You have to get up. You’re gonna live. You’re gonna to be okay. You’re gonna dance again.
