Parsons is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Dr. Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory.

My mantra during award season is to enjoy it, enjoy it, enjoy it. You can’t help but feel stressed anytime attention is placed upon you. Chuck Lorre once said to me ‘Enjoy this as much as possible, because it’s a wildly fickle business.’ That’s all you can do. What’s funny during awards season is that there’s nothing you can do to work on it. You just smile and soak it in.
