Louis-Dreyfus wins the Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Comedy at the 66th Annual Emmy Awards for portraying Selina Meyer in Veep.
The part of playing an unhappy vice president was a slam dunk as far as I was concerned. I love the idea of being powerful and powerless at the same time. It mirrors Hollywood in lots of ways and it’s lots of fun to play. It’s a phenomenal role.
