Winter Is Coming

Headey appears as Queen Cersei Lannister in the series premiere of Game of Thrones, Winter is Coming. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays her twin brother, Ser Jaime Lannister. In King’s Landing, Cersei and Jaime view the body of the Hand of the King, Jon Arryn, following his mysterious death. They discuss a secret they share, and Jaime tells Cersei that if Jon discovered it before he died, he didn’t tell anyone or they would both now be dead. The royal party travels to Winterfell, the stonghold of the northern Stark noble family, where King Robert Baratheon intends to name Lord Eddard Stark the new Hand. Bran Stark, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, the second son of the family, is climbing a disused tower when he hears voices inside. Peering through a window to investigate, he witnesses Cersei and Jaime having incestuous sex. Jaime pulls Bran into the window and questions him on his age. Realizing the 10 years is old enough to know what he saw, Jaime pushes Bran from the window.
