The Room interview

Interview

Luger talks to The Room about Sting coming to WWE and WCW backstage.

[Sting] felt comfortable in WCW and they always took care of him all those years, so really when WCW and WWE were coexisting he never really felt a compelling reason or time in his career where he thought if he went to WWE that there would be a huge positive move for him.

Wrestling101.com interview

Interview

Luger gives his thoughts about becoming interested in pro wrestling as a career:

I was actually playing American Football and that’s all I had ever done, I never watched wrestling and didn’t know anything about it. I had read and heard about the success of WrestleMania’s but had never seen one, I had heard about Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant breaking the indoor attendance record, and that’s when I thought to myself there must be something to this wrestling thing.

Forbes interview

Interview

Luger talks to Forbes about steroids in professional wrestling and alcoholism.

I thought the drinking and the pills were more of a social thing that I did with the rest of the guys. Back then, it was a work hard, play hard mentality, Dan. So none of us felt we really had a problem.

Wrestlingmania.com interview

Interview

Luger talks to Wrestlingmania.com about his WCW debut on the very first Monday Night Nitro.

On reflection, that was a pretty bad move by me. Me and Vince had a verbal agreement. I worked for him for 6 months without any sort of contract as my contract had expired. My mistake came when WCW signed me. I didn’t get to have a conversation with Vince to tell him I’d be leaving. But that was 100% my fault.
