Speed the Plow
The actress makes a debut stage performance in the play called Speed the Plow. Director Lindsay Posner is confident that Lohan is perfect for the role:
…she has a mixture of vulnerability and confidence and ambition. Part of the ambiguity of the role is that the audience isn’t quite sure whether she’s a naive girl who’s out of her depth, or a calculating opportunist. That’s part of what makes the play interesting. She also needs to be sexually charismatic.
However, Lohan’s performance receives mixed reviews. The Guardian’s Michael Billington:
…she holds the stage with ease…
The Daily Mail’s Quentin Letts:
This was a travesty of art.
