Official: no reason to believe crew caused disappearance

The commercial director of Malaysia Airlines, Hugh Dunleavy, defends the pilot and crew of the missing flight, saying there is no reason to believe the crew did anything to precipitate the plane’s disappearance. He calls flight captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah “a very seasoned pilot” with “a track record of excellent service” and no indications of “untoward attitude or behavior.” He concludes,

We have no reason to believe that there was anything — any action determined by the crew that caused the disappearance of this aircraft.
