The Maldivian Parliament votes 65-0 to impeach Vice President Adeeb on terrorism charges for planning to kill President Yameen Abdul Gayoom. Adeeb is currently awaiting trail, but could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted under new terrorism laws. The military says it had found a homemade bomb in a vehicle parked near the president’s official residence and deactivated it.
