Sister’s boyfriend confesses to murder

Plutarco Ruiz confesses to the murder of Alvarado and her sister, Sofia Trinidad Alvarado, Ruiz’s girlfriend, according to police. Ruiz says he shot Sofia following a heated argument, then shot Maria twice in the back as she was trying to escape. Maria and Sofia’s mother, Teresa Munoz:

They were not very astute about assessing the people around them. They were just friendly. They were going out with people they hadn’t known very long.
