Seacrest interviews Carey during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks if she will return to American Idol for another season.

Yeah, I actually can. I love moments like this, because I think they’re great. You work through whatever. I’m just learning. I don’t consider myself a judge, I consider myself as someone who is trying to give constructive criticism and guidance I think it’s a really, really great opportunity for people out there who don’t necessarily have the money to make their own demo or to go to a record company and stuff like that. I have a totally new respect for the whole thing.
