Seacrest interviews Kidman during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her character Millicent Clyde in the film Paddington.
I’m an evil villain with a hint of fun. I hope people go out to see it because it’s adorable. The book series has been a massive hit in the UK and Australia, that’s where the book is really famous. In terms of here in America, a few people know, but we’re trying to educate people because he’s really a sweet bear.

While visiting his daughter Antonia in Singapore, Kidman’s father Antony Kidman dies as the result of a fall. Mr. Kidman was a prominent clinical psychologist in Australia, as well as an author and biochemist. The details of his death have not been released. A spokesperson for the Singapore police tells Reuters that they are “investigating the unnatural death.”

Charlie pays Evie inappropriate amounts of attention, and she welcomes it. But Charlie is really playing her to get close to her daughter India. Also starring Matthew Goode and Mia Wasikowska.
I loved the dinner scenes. I loved the scenes around the table because I just found them…there’s humor in them as well. I actually don’t think that Evie’s evil. I felt like she’s misunderstood. I felt like she’s just starved for love and she’s got a child that she doesn’t connect with.

Emmy nomination
Kidman is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Martha Gellhorn on Hemingway & Gellhorn.

I think a character can sometimes come into your life because she’s meant to be there. The dead can give us gifts. And Virginia Woolf gave me the gift of being able to play her at a time when I was depressed and in an emotional struggle. I used her knowledge. In the same way that life feeds art, art feeds life.

I remember Halloweening when I was about three, with my parents when we lived in Washington, D.C. And then I remember eating snow when I was about three as well — wanting to taste it and being told I wasn’t allowed to but still secretly doing it. Isn’t that crazy? And I have a vivid memory of both of those things.
