Orlando Bloom interview
Bloom appears as a guest on Conan to promote his latest film, The Hobbit. He also talks about having Sir Ian McKellen as a roommate, his experience stripping down in Zulu, and creating a porno film involving elves and Middle Earth.
The truth is there won’t be because J.R. Tolkien has the rights. The estate sold the rights for both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, but nothing else. I was doing press with Evangeline Lilly and Lee Pace recently. We both play elves and we could do an elven spinoff. Get some iphones and some GoPros and annihilate middle earth, Tantric sex, down and dirty. Let’s go with a bit of elven love and violence.
Bloom swings at Bieber
After Bieber makes a remark about Bloom’s ex, Miranda Kerr, Bloom attempts to punch Bieber at an Ibiza nightclub, to cheers from those watching. However, a source close to Bieber insisted that the comment was only made after Bloom took a swing, and missed. A source:
Justin was at one table, and Orlando was at another. But when Bieber and his party were later walking past Bloom’s table, Orlando refused to shake Bieber’s hand. Then Bieber said something rude to Orlando, like, ‘She was good.'”
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Bloom is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Motion Pictures.
No success could happen or even feel vaguely this sweet without the support of family and great friends. Not really. But I got in the best shape of my life for that movie. It was quite amusing walking around set and seeing the crew avert their eyes at first. Then there were a few more people watching playback. [Laughs] I got so comfortable with it I could brush up behind someone and go, “Oh, excuse me.”
