WWE posts update on Ric Flair undergoing surgery and missing an event.
WWE Legend Ric Flair is recovering from successful surgery and will miss tomorrow’s scheduled guest referee appearance at SmackDown. Ric is doing well and we look forward to him returning to WWE in the near future.
NXT appearance announcement
WWE announces Ric Flair will appear at NXT Takeover II to introduce Kenta as the brand’s newest signee.
Legends to appear on RAW
WWE announces Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan will all appear on Monday Night RAW in Anaheim, California.
The WWE Universe is still buzzing about the brutal beating John Cena suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. To kick off Raw, WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair will be in the house to weigh in on the upcoming Lesnar-Cena at Night of Champions.
Added to Summerslam panel
Flair is added to WWE’s Summerslam kickoff show panel. He will join Alex Riley and Booker T to discuss the event and the major participants and predictions.
Hogan birthday bash
WWE RAW hosts special 61st Birthday celebration for Hogan. Many of Hogan’s oldest friends appear including the nWo, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff.

That night Shawn led the way not me, he wrestled for the both of us (laughs). I didn’t have a say with anything thing in that match which is a first, he actually had the balls to tell the Nature Boy to shut up and listen to him, they are big balls (laughs). The moment just before Shawn goes to sweet chin music me, and he mouths the words ‘I’m sorry’ that was just magical.

Ric Flair born in Memphis, Tenn.
Flair (Richard Morgan Fliehr) is born in Memphis, Tennessee despite being billed from Charlotte, North Carolina his entire career. He attends the University of Minnesota on a football scholarship. After meeting Ken Patera in a bar, he is introduced to Verne Gagne who agrees to train him as a professional wrestler.
