The group is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during the 21st induction ceremony. Presenter Shirley Manson:

Blondie put it this way once: ‘Dreaming is free.’ For many of us, myself included, Blondie were the dream . . . It’s no doubt that they enjoy this particular honor as a result of their fearless and freewheeling approach to making music.
