The group is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during the 21st induction ceremony. Gary Rossington:

It’s a dream come true. Ronnie, Allen and I always had this dream, to make it big in a band and go all the way, so I guess this does it. I think everything comes in its time, and this was just the time for it.
