Tendulkar retires from test cricket after playing his 200th test match at the Wankhede stadium, He scores 74 in the first innings. India win the test match against West Indies.

It’s getting a little difficult to talk but I’ll manage. The most important person in my life, and I’ve missed him a lot since he passed away in 1999, is my father. Without his guidance I don’t think I’d be standing in front of you.

Tendulkar is voted the Best Test Player of the 21st century in an online poll by Cricket Australia, receiving more than 16,000 votes. Second was Kumar Sangakkara, and third, Adam Gilchrist.

He is the lone Indian player to be figuring in the top-10 list

In Great Haseley Oxfordshire. Missed the last bus, can anyone give me a lift.

He also tweets three pictures of himself in the bus stand. Lots of tweeters offer to help and offer support. He seems to get help and reaches his destination safely.
