African penguins return

The San Diego Zoo exhibits African penguins for the first time in over 30 years. The tAfrican+Penguin_001_Webwo male penguins, about 18 months old, are living temporarily in the Children’s Zoo area while their habitat is being built. The zoo’s curator of birds, Dave Rimlinger:

They’ll be here for the next two-and-a-half years while we’re building our new state-of-the art-exhibit in Dog and Cat Canyon as part of a very large project called Africa Rocks.
