Kinsey and Deaton are featured in the November 2014 issue of NKD magazine. They talk about what made them audition for The X Factor. Deaton says:

We kind of thought, no one probably watches these. But we wanted to send an audition tape anyways. The way we thought about it was someone could see it, something good could happen from it, and we didn’t spend any money on it. So why not take a chance?
