Wins Olympic gold medal

Ligety wins the Olympic gold medal in the Men’s Alpine Skiing: Giant Slalom event. His combined time of 2:45.29 minutes is enough to push him past silver medalist Steve Missillier and bronze medalist Alexis Pinturault of France.

This was really the event that I wanted to win. … I know where I stand in giant slalom.
