Collette plays Lynn Sear, a single mother of a troubled young boy, in this dramatic thriller written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Lynn is worried and scared by what she sees as her son’s constant lies about what he sees around him. Co-starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment.

But yeah, when we were making it, we did have—without being corny—a sense of it being somehow special, that it would do something. Certainly not what it did do, that was beyond anyone’s expectations or imagination.
