Triple H open to talks with Rousey, McGregor

Makes Statement

Speaking as the WWE launches their United Kingdom Championship Tournament, Triple H, in his role as WWE executive vice president of talent, live events and creative, says Rousey could appear in the company in the future.

Never say never with us. Ronda’s done things with us in the past. She’s a huge fan. She had a blast when she did it. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if, as she begins to wrap up her UFC career, as she’s looking to do other things, if we’re a part of that conversation for her.

On a possible McGregor role in WWE:

[McGregor’s] very calculated in the things he says and does. He doesn’t mention us because it just came out. He has made his point. I have made my point when I have been asked about it. He is a business man. I am a businessman. If the time is right for us to sit at the table, if there is an opportunity that we have or he wants to have, then we’ll discuss it. For them and for us, then who knows, you know? We’ll see. We’re wide open

McGregor’s ‘got it all’

Makes Statement

Triple H says McGregor has the skills for WWE.

He could come over, he’s got it all, man – he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure. What does he walk around at? 180lbs? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200lb guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300lbs any more. But yeah, he could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show. That really worked. Conor could do it for sure.

Triple H talks to WWE.com about Hell in a Cell matches and his own experiences in the cage.

Hell in a Cell changes your life… not just your career. You’re not going to walk out of it the same way you walked into it, if you walk out of it unassisted.

Talk is Jericho interview

Interview

Triple H talks to Chris Jericho about his start in WCW, the Klig and the name “Triple H”.

Shawn started calling me Triple H day one, I think it was an Arn thing. He was like what’s your gimmick again? Hunter Hearst Helmsley, holy crap Triple H and he just walked off. With him it was always Triple H. When we switched from out of the gimmicks to be a bit more real, Vince asked me at the time, do you just want to use your real name? I was like not really, I’ve got some time with this Hunter Hearst Helmsley thing like the Hunter and all that stuff.

I’ve known about Kenta for years. He’s one of the biggest stars in Japan. He’s a huge talent, obviously. I’m excited for him to try to bring his brand of sports-entertainment to WWE and see how he does.

WWE.com interview

Interview

Triple H talks to WWE.com about WWE TLC and CM Punk.

I didn’t happen to see C.M. Punk’s promo Monday night because I was a little bit busy creating the biggest match in WWE history. That being said, C.M. Punk says a lot of things; he runs his mouth a lot. It doesn’t make a difference to me. It’s irrelevant to me. He can say whatever he wants. I’m not phased by it. All I care about is C.M. Punk shows up and does his job.

Everything that has to do with talent, from the legends to the developmental system, to the live events and all of its operations and the towns we book, to where the pay-per-views are, all of it. Obviously I have a massive team that does all that, but they report to me.
