Threatens ‘Shariah trial’ for peacekeepers

Al-Nusra Front threatens to try 45 captured UN Disengagement Observer Force peacekeepers from Fiji in a Shariah court over alleged UN crimes. It accuses the UNDOF of doing nothing to help the Syrian people since the uprising against the Assad regime began in March 2011 and says the Fijians were seized in retaliation for the UN ignoring ‘the daily shedding of the Muslims’ blood in Syria.
