Alternative Nation interview

Interview0 Comments

Ross speaks to Alternative Nation about Brock Lesnar’s similarities to Muhammad Ali.

There’s always going to be a segment of the MMA community that is going to cheer for Lesnar to lose, if and when he comes back for another run after his diverticulitis issues, but that’s the beauty of it. Muhammad Ali told me one time, back in the 80’s, that he realized early in his career that he could make more money as a boxer, as a black man in a white man’s business as far as management and TV contracts, and distribution of PPV dollars, he said, ‘I realized my place as a fighter would be enhanced if I put myself in a position where the fans pay more money to see me lose than they would to see me win.’

E! Online interview

Interview0 Comments

Bella talks to E! Online about winning the WWE Divas Championship at Survivor Series.

I think everyone’s in shock. They were waiting outside when I came out and gave me hugs and kisses, and Nattie wrote me a nice, super long text. They’ve all been waiting for a change and they’ve seen how hard I’ve been working and I think they are very happy for me; they felt it was very deserving.

Comments on Sting’s debut

Makes Statement0 Comments

Ross updates the blog section of his website to discuss Sting’s WWE debut.

Happy to see my old friend The Stinger debut at the Survivor Series Sunday night. Honestly, I wish I hadn’t read so much material notwithstanding writing about the rumor of his return to the ring Sunday night. I’d have liked it better if I had not allowed myself to be preconditioned about Sting’s arrival. I have no one but me to blame. Nonetheless it seemed like he got a good ovation from the St. Louis crowd.

Miami Herald interview

Interview0 Comments

Rollins talks to the Miami Herald about Brock Lesnar, Survivor Series and learning from working with “The Authority”.

I’m a sponge in that scenario soaking up all the information I possibly can. You are looking at Triple H, who has pretty much done all there is to do in WWE. You look at Stephanie, who is a McMahon. She has this in her blood. Then you have Kane, who also has been around in many incarnations for a very long period of time. There is so much information and so much to learn about being the man in WWE.

Telegraph interview

Interview0 Comments

Kane talks to The Telegraph about new up-and-coming stars in the WWE.

I think the upcoming talent is great. For awhile I was very worried about the future of WWE because I worried about where the stars would come from. But WWE has done a fabulous job in partnering with Full Sail University, for WWE’s training facility. Some of the guys are second and third generations, but the thing about WWE’s training, is they learn our system before going on the roster, it’s more seamless. WWE’s future is bright.

BANG Showbiz interview

Interview0 Comments

Sheamus talks to BANG Showbiz about the popularity of Total Divas and interest in creating a similar reality television program featuring the superstars instead of the divas.

I think there should be a new reality show for the guys, I think it would be interesting. It should definitely happen now we have the WWE Network. The bigger the Network grows the more content they are going to need and a reality show would definitely take off, especially if it had all the behind-the-scenes stuff.

Miami Herald interview

Interview0 Comments

James talks to the Miami Herald about possibly returning to WWE in the future.

I’d have to revisit that whole thing…Things have changed since then. I think, ‘I’m better than 90 percent of the talent on TV now. Why am I going to step to the side to just train the future?’ I’m not ready to do that, and I’m not trying to be arrogant and self-absorbed. I can see how it can come off that way, but it’s the truth.

Total Wrestling Magazine interview

Interview0 Comments

Page talks to Total Wrestling Magazine about Jake Roberts, his favorite WWE superstars and his own run in WWE.

I didn’t have the run I should have had in WWE, but that’s ok, I had a great run in WCW. I lived the dream, and it was great fun. In WWE, I got the European Title, Tag-Team Titles, sure, but they didn’t mean anything to me. There was too much heat on the WCW guys at that time, they were seen as the enemy, we almost put the WWE out of business.

Reno-Gazette Journal interview

Interview0 Comments

Reigns talks to the Reno-Gazette Journal about The former Shield members and being compared to John Cena.

Last time I checked, I’m 6’3″ 265 pounds, which is bigger than John Cena. Last time I checked, my hair is long and jet black, and last time I checked John Cena’s isn’t. I’m way better looking and I’m way more athletic than he is so for anybody to compare me to him is completely asinine.

NoInHallofFame.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Page talks to NotInHallofFame.com about a conversation he had with Steve Austin regarding when he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

I think at some point it will happen. Steve Austin said to me the other day ‘No one ever did it the way you did it at such a success level’. He said to me that he was waiting for me to go in, and when it happens it happens. I’m honored that the CAC and National Wrestling Hall of Fame inducted me, and I would be honored if the WWE put me in their Hall of Fame. I’m focused on what’s happening right now with DDPYOGA and last year to get to induct Jake and with Scott being inducted in the same year, and they both came out of my house, you know DDP’s Accountability Crib.

Chicago Now interview

Interview0 Comments

Foley talks to Chicago Now about his recent appearances in WWE and possibly returning for a recurring on-screen authority role.

I think their needs to be a balance of power. I think on screen the Authority has had too much power for too long and it’s been a little heel heavy. I would hope I am on that short list of candidates for that type of role if it does arise. And if it was brought forth to me, I think I would do it. And with my personality I think I can bring a fresh attitude towards that “higher power”.

WWE.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Cena talks to WWE.com about who will run the show if The Authority is thrown out of power.

The WWE is built off of spur of the moment entertainment. Yes, we know what we get with The Authority but what we get isn’t what the WWE Universe wants. The boss should be the WWE Universe. We have an extremely active online community. They can be involved in all of this. They know who and what they want to see. Let’s try something new.

WrestlingINC interview

Interview0 Comments

Poffo talks to WrestlingINC about his brother, Randy Savage’s heat with WWE and rumors that he hated Vince McMahon.

I just wanted to say Randy was a great man, and you know he was. He was also a good man, and I think that’s even more important. Randy knew deep in his heart that he was thankful to Vince McMahon for all he had. He was 32 when he finally got his break and the window of opportunity was closing. Whatever small argument they may have had, I think it’s just ridiculous to not see the big picture that Randy loved Vince and Vince loved Randy
