SNS Radio interview
Styles talks to SNS Radio about Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and issues in wrestling.
The whole independent contractor thing in pro wrestling doesn’t really work, it doesn’t make much sense but that’s the way its been run for so long. When it comes to independents i don’t think any owner or promoter should say ‘you cant work for this guy or this guy’ but when it comes to TNA and WWE, i understand with those bigger contracts.
LAW Radio interview
Styles talks to LAW Radio about rumors of him negotiating with WWE and his final days in TNA.
I know that’s some wishful thinking, but no, there was nothing. Not a phone call. Nothing. I wish I knew who these guys were that were presenting these rumors and whatnot, just so I could say, “Exactly tell me when they did call me, I’d like to know.” It’s just so bizarre, all the stuff that you hear.
TheWrestlingMania.com interivew
Styles speaks to TheWrestlingMania.com about lawsuit threats and TNA wrestling.
We had something in the works, but then I got threatened by a TNA lawyer about some stuff that was going on – it was meaningless. We were going to do that in March, but now we’re looking at maybe coming over in June. The book should be done by then. So, it actually works out pretty good.
Baltimore Sun interview
Styles talks to the Baltimore Sun about life and his career after leaving TNA Wrestling.
I have to tell you, man, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at all the things that have opened up for me. I realized that all the independents are alive and well. I’ve been able to wrestle all these guys, and have some dream matches in the fans eyes. It’s been awesome to work for Ring of Honor again. I also recently had the opportunity to start working with New Japan. So 2014 is becoming an awesome year for me.
Talk is Jericho interview
Styles appears on Talk is Jericho to discuss leaving TNA, Hulk Hogan and Ring of Honor.
I did expect to retire from TNA. That’s what I wanted to do. I was very loyal to them. I busted my tail for them for eleven of years. But what I was told is TNA was horribly mismanaged and they couldn’t afford to pay me what I was making. So it was one of those things where I had to make a decision.
Ross Report interview
Styles is a guest on The Ross Report to discuss TNA, Ring of Honor and his childhood.
My dad was a Marine so I was born in North Carolina, after about a year we moved down to Georgia. So, I’m definitely a Georgia guy. There’s nothing that can tear me from the red and black.
