Cumming: ‘Yes’
Cumming writes in the New York Times that No advocates in Westminster are seeking to keep Scotland’s economic assets as part of the union, while domestic supporters of the union are pessimistic:
Distilled, the essence of the choice is this: The Yes campaign is about hope for a fairer, more caring and prosperous society; the No campaign says only: better the devil you know. I am an optimist.
Emmy nomination
Cumming is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Eli Gold on The Good Wife.
I think everyone would agree that my being asked to play Eli Gold was so from left field, but it has been such a blast and an education for me as an actor. And to be honored in this way just adds to the surprise and the delight I feel at being a part of such a great show. I am sure Eli is in a photo copy room somewhere doing a little silent celebratory jig!
