Super Bowl XLVII: Baltimore 34-31 San Fransisco
Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens become NFL champions thanks to a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. A power outage cuts lights to the stadium for 34 minutes. Kicked off Ravens
Rice is kicked off the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL following the release of a video showing him punching his fiance. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell increased Rice’s suspension from two days to indefinitely after viewing the video. Raven’s press release:
The Baltimore Ravens terminated the contract of RB Ray Rice this afternoon.
Released
The Ravens release Jones. By cutting him, the Ravens save $750,000 of cap space. Coach John Harbaugh:
We thank Jacoby for what he did for us. He was invaluable to our success. Opponents, especially on special teams, schemed to stop him. What a compliment to him…Jacoby is one of my most favorite players ever to coach, an absolute joy to be around. He’s a good person with a good heart.

Announces departure from team
In a blog post, Smith announces that he will not be playing for the Ravens in 2015.
Although I may no longer be a member of the Baltimore Ravens, at heart, I will always be a Raven. What we accomplished together is timeless…This isn’t a goodbye because I will still be around, and Baltimore will continue to be my home in the offseason and when my career is done. I’m on to the next chapter of my life and football career, but I will see you guys later…I literally dreamed of playing for the Baltimore Ravens, not just because it is a great organization with an amazing fan base, but because of the foundation of the team and the principles that the men who run it stand by and for.

After failing a field sobriety test, Pierce is arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He is the third Ravens player to be arrested this offseason.
