Lively announces she is expecting her first child with Reynolds. Lively posts a picture of her baby bump on her website Preserve as a part of the campaign “Preserve Celebrations: Falling for Family”. Lively:
With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family. Today we celebrate them. With food to fill their tummies (as if that needs more filling), presents to soothe their tired (and swollen) soles, toys to warm their baby’s souls, projects to provoke them, and decorations to inspire creativity and merriment in all.
Lively appears on the cover of the September 2014 issue of Marie Claire magazine. She talks about her husband, her past claims of wanting 30 kids, and her lifestyle e-commerce website.
I went straight from high school to Gossip Girl, and both were very structured, scheduled environments, so I never had freedom to explore and carve my own path. When I finished my show, I wanted to take a break from acting and try what I would have tried if I hadn’t acted, and that was this.
Elle Magazine interviews Lively about taking a year beak from her acting career.
Having a personal life has been really nice. I’d been on Gossip Girl 10 months a year for six years, shooting 15-hour days, so I hadn’t had time to just be since I graduated from high school. It’s been nice to kind of settle into my own skin and work on things I really love.
Lively appears on the cover of the October 2012 issue of Allure magazine. She talks about being down-to-earth and her feelings about clubs.
I don’t drink. I’ve never tried a drug. The music is so loud, you can’t have a conversation with somebody. If I were an amazing dancer, yeah, I’d go, but I’m definitely not. My friend calls me a speed walker because my elbows are everywhere. It’s not like I decided on these strict lifestyle choices and I’m enforcing them. It’s just something that I genuinely don’t have a desire for.
Lively and Reynolds appears on the cover of People to discuss their plans to make their marriage last and their wedding in South Carolina. Source:
When Ryan first saw her, his face broke into a huge smile that crinkled his eyes. They just stared at each other with absolute love. Their faces were lit up with the candlelight, and it looked like something out of a romance movie.
Seacrest interviews Lively during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her style.
There’s a lot of pressure to constantly find the best designer outfits. As a teenager, my mom was constantly after me to dress better. She encouraged me to dress up and discover my own style. I love fashion and shopping though, just like any girl.
Affleck interviews Lively for the August edition, discussing her Gossip Girl role and The Town. Affleck:
We met when you came to do The Town, and when you turned up, I was a little taken aback. I was like, “How did you learn this Boston accent? How did you learn all of this stuff?
I think it comes from the fact that I never really thought about acting as a child. It wasn’t like, “This is the career that I want to pursue.” So when I first started acting, I was more concerned with just being on a set and all of the woes of that, and I didn’t really know it or understand it as a craft yet. When I saw my first movie, I was fine, but I thought, “Oh, my heavens. It’s not about just standing there on my mark and saying these lines. I need to actually act.”
Lively speaks about a love scene she had in the movie The Town:
I have a sex scene in this film, and that’s never comfortable, she says as the knife blade bangs the plate she’s using as a cutting board. You think, Oh, that’s going to be so awkward. But this scene isn’t supposed to be a steamy one — it’s sort of tragic, because this girl is so desperately trying to keep this man interested. It’s more intimate than most sex scenes. I’m pretty much crying in it.
In this teen drama created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (based on the book by Cecily von Ziesegar) Lively plays Serena van der Woodsen, the Upper East Side’s perfect girl who just returned from boarding school who tries her best to be a good friend to Blair while dealing with everyday problems of an “it” girl in New York. Co-starring Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Penn Blagdley and Leighton Meester.
It is a crazy and completely insane business. I’ll go to an event…and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal.
