Ladies and gentleman, Mr. Robertson is filming in the Philippines and unfortunately he is steeped in it, couldn’t get away in time. But on his behalf, he thanks the Academy, and I wish him the joyous moment of his life right now. Thank you.
Thanks Academy

All of us at some time in our lives have a dream. Ours was called Charly, and after seven years it came true because of a lot of people who had and kept the faith: Martin Baum, Ralph Nelson, Stirling Silliphant, a dedicated editor named Fritz Steinkamp, and a beautiful actress named Claire Bloom. But no one gave more than Ruth, John and Selig. And now they’ve left us, left us with a legacy of love and hard work and talent. And I, respectfully, would like to dedicate my award for Charly to Ruth, John and Selig. Thank you.
