CMG: All you’ve go to do is look at his face. That boy is ugly. He will be unrecognisable by the end of the contest. Just look at Nate Diaz.
EA: I could care less about the way I look after a fight. I will win and the fight won’t end until I win.
CMG: It’s all over Edward.
EA: I took on the best guys in the world. One by one by one. I’ve been top in the world for years. Years. This guy’s just coming on this sport.
CMG: Come on Eddie, you’ve been over in Japan, or some shit. You’ve been fighting bums all your life. You’ve never been on this stage. You’ve never been against a guy like me. You’re an absolute bum. Look at your face! You’re the most beat up guy there is.

Wants to fight ‘chicken’ Conor McGregor

Makes Statement0 Comments

After his win against Johnson in the UFC 205 prelims, Nurmagomedov says he wants to fight McGregor.

I want to fight your chicken Let’s go with your chicken. I want to stay humble. But I have to talk because the other guys talk too much and … I understand the crazy power the UFC PR machine has. [McGregor], at the beginning of the year he tapped like a chicken but at the end of the year he is fighting for the title. Crazy.

McGregor: Nurmagomedov’s ‘a consistent pull-out merchant’

Makes Statement0 Comments

McGregor says he is skeptical about Nurmagomedov.

Look he’s fought once in eight years. Y’know what I’m saying? He ain’t fightin’ too frequent for my liking. For me to commit to something like that I need solid proof that people are going to show up, and he’s a consistent pull-out merchant. We’ll see where that goes. He had a good performance tonight, fair play to him. But I need to see active. I need to see activity, I need to see me. If you want me to change your life, if you want me to come and pick you, you’d better have some damn [good] reasons for me to do that.

Sets MSG gate record

Post-fight interview

Makes Statement0 Comments

Directly after being declared the winner McGregor asks about his belts.

Where the f-ck is my second belt? I’ve already got this one. Where’s the second one at? Cheap motherf-ckers. $4.2 billion this company was sold for. Where’s that second belt. Go backstage and grab that f-cking belt somewhere.

He then talks to Rogan about his win over Alvarez.

They’re not on my level. You’ve got to have size, reach, length. If you come in any way equal to me I’m going to rip your whole head off. Eddie’s a warrior, but he shouldn’t have been in here with me and that’s just the truth of it.

At the post-fight press conference White says that he can’t remember what he said to McGregor when he put on the belt. He reaffirms his support for McGregor.

Conor’s special…I’ve never dealt with anyone like this kid. On so many different levels. Nobody has ever walked out of the Octagon and told me they want to turn right around and fight again. He does.

He says that the fight has broken all MMA records, with $17.7 million taken at the gate, from 20,427 tickets sold. He also says the fight broke PPV records.

Jesus is gonna have to fight the devil to break that record.

‘If McGregor wants to fight we can sign it right now’

Makes Statement0 Comments

At the post UFC 205 press conference Woodley talks about fighting McGregor.

I’m mean to be straight honest. Conor McGregor is a guy that fought at 145, ever in his life. I haven’t weighed 145 since my sophomore year in high school. He’s tall, got long arms, got good timing, and can place good punches. I’m 100% positive he’s not been hit with the shots I’ll hit him with. I just don’t think Conor understands the pressure I can put on him, the power I can put on him, and all the different attacks. I think it’s good for media. If he wants to fight, we can sign it right now. I just don’t think it’s a good idea for him to fight me.

It feels great. I saw it so clearly. And now it’s here in reality. I back it up with work ethic. Hours and hours of dedication. I’m very satisfied, very happy. I knew it was going to happen for me.

The shopping here is unbelievable. You can do damage in those boutiques…I can’t wait to come back.
