Mauro Zarate scores his first goal on his debut to give his side the lead and Stewart Downing gives them the second before half time to put his side in control as Eagles caretaker manager sees his side struggle desperately. Marouane Chamakh offers some hope for his side and pulls a goal back at the start of the last half but Westham’s Carlton Cole was quick to respond and they stay supreme till the end. Palace Chairman appoints Keith Millen as caretaker within 24 hours to this game as he is still on the hunt for new manager to which Tim Sherwood an Early contender has pulled out of the race. This search has overshadowed their first home game. West Ham manager:

We got everything right. We could have scored more than we did. We had a plan of attack to break Crystal Palace down with a patient approach.

I won’t be watching Match of the Day tonight. I’ll recover hopefully and watch it on Sunday.

Palace regain the lead three minutes into the second half through Jason Puncheon but Pardew’s side comes back when Aarons heads the ball in the net. Mike Williamson in the 88th minute scores to separate the two sides but it’s not long until minutes into extra time when Zaha restores the game to a draw. Warnock:

I told them to play with a smile. All three wingers worked their socks off and I was really pleased. Zaha looked positive when he came on. People would expect us to defend but we wanted to win the game.

Tim HowardCrystal palace win at Goodison Park with goals from Mile Jedinak, who scores from penalty spot in the 30th minute, Frazier Campbell in the 54th minute, and Yannick Bolasie in the 69th. Everton get in the lead in the 9th minute through Romelo Lukaku and get their second from Leiton Baines who scores an 83rd minute penalty. Martinez:

The penalty was an incredible reward for Palace and from then on the mental change allowed Palace to have a lot of belief and to change the game. It was very uncharacteristic of us to concede three goals with three errors, but even then the character was incredible and we almost managed to get something out of the game.
