Debuts PEEPS donut

Just in time for speeps donutpring and scheduled to sell through Easter, Dunkin Donuts debuts a PEEPS donut, flower shaped and available in green frosting with a pink drizzle, or a strawberry frosting with a green strip — topped with a mini PEEP. Dunkin’ Brands’ Executive Chef and Vice President of Production Innovation Stan Frankenthaler:

PEEPS are synonymous with fun and happiness, and we are excited to combine two American favorites to create unique flower-shaped donuts adorned with a marshmallow chick that will sweeten any spring or Easter celebration.

Debuts croissant doughnut

Dunkin Donutsdd-cronut-1 announces that it will launch its croissant doughnut starting in early November. It will be available for a limited time only and sell for $2.49, or more than twice its standard doughnut.  When asked to compare the croissant doughnut and the Cronut , Dunkin’s Executive Chef Jeff Miller responded:

I’ve tried the product that you mention. As the executive chef of Dunkin’, I like ours better.

‘Black Lives Matter’ cup apology

Dunkin Donuts BlackLivesMatterA police officer buying a coffee at a Rhode Island Dunkin’ Donuts says that the employee serving him seemed “somewhat rude and appeared as though they did not want to serve the officer.” He later discovers that the employee had written “#blacklivesmatter” on the cup. Police union:

The negativity displayed by the #Blacklivesmatter organization towards police across this nation is creating a hostile environment that is not resolving any problems or issues, but making it worse for our communities. They are doing this by increasing tensions amongst police and the people they serve.

The franchise owner has apologized to the police officer on behalf of Dunkin’ Donuts, and he has counseled the employee about her behavior.
